Now the add-in can work only with WhatsApp and Bitcoin cryptocurrency. But the developers promise to make the product for other applications and cryptocurrencies. It is not clear how Facebook will react to the innovation. That it is the owner of the messenger, and the company has already announced plans to introduce into it its cryptocurrency wallet.
The platform for managing social networks Hootsuite conducted a study on the penetration of cryptocurrencies in the lives of ordinary users. It was found that they are most popular in the Republic of South Africa. Here, 10.7% of Internet users have cryptocurrency wallets.
In second place are Thailand with 9.9%, and Indonesia with 9.5%. Morocco, where only 1.7% of users use cryptocurrencies closes the list. Russia is one step higher - 1.8%, followed by France - 2.4%. It is noteworthy that Japan was in the middle of the list, with 4.3%. The country was the first to legalize digital financial assets, but they have not yet received global distribution.
